I've had some but nothing like what alot of people have. I've felt fortunate and almost even guilty at times when I see what other people are going through. <BR/><BR/>And I think you are right, we are exposed to these situations and as a result we become better people. But the 'person' is so temporary. I think we become better in essence,spirit, soul, whatever name we choose to give it. (maybe morning there by now?)Ben Therehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09552547709669462400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8335611828023778237.post-49599716797329553562008-04-09T17:47:00.000-07:002008-04-09T17:47:00.000-07:00I loved the TV series 'Malcolm in the Middle' Ben....I loved the TV series 'Malcolm in the Middle' Ben.<BR/>It was full of exaggerated beat ups and consequences and easy outs or putdowns as the case may be.<BR/>But always the strengthening of the family bond was the result - thank bloody hell that's over, right, what’s next!<BR/>I have never really suffered in my life (very fortunate); one time I lost the plot for a bit but wandered on anyhow with an extremely valuable lesson learned in the process.<BR/>I have friends with insurmountable (personal) problems and don't know how they cope day to day; they do!<BR/>It strengthens me to feel my friendship with them does something for their life; and it does when I am around them but I'm not always around them. Being honest with myself, that friendship is more for me than they; however, they survive (the friendship that is).<BR/>As one of them says 'You wake up in the morning - it's a good day'.<BR/>Maybe, as part of our journey through life, we (you and I) are to be exposed to these problems (not problems of our own) to make us a better person (again selfish I know, but).
